	Which are the different control panels associated with hosting?

Solution Normally clients get confused between the control panels and passwords they need to keep in mind. Therefore I have attached screenshots along with short descriptions as to what each control panel does :)

PASSWORDS

There are three panels associated with a hosting company namely the hosting, the billing and the domain registration. I have explained all that you need to know about passwords below :-

As domain registration, client billing and Hosting are different parts then it is assumed that each has its own control panel :-

BILLING CONTROL PANEL :-

1. The billing control panel as the name suggests helps you keep a track of all the domains you have purchased with us.

2. The control panel is the medium you need to pay your invoices or start a PayPal subscription.

"CPANEL" CONTROL PANEL :-

1. This is the control panel required to manage your hosting features, Now there are many control panels for hosting out of which the best one is "Cpanel" . Other control panels are VHCS, PLESK, Webmin and so on.

2. The Cpanel is the medium required for you the client to manage FTP accounts, files, fantastico, phpmyadmin, MySql, sub domains, addon domains and so on.

DOMAIN CONTROL PANEL :-

1. This is the control panel used to renew one's domain registration, add dns zones or add email services.

2. This is the main medium to manage domain related issues like nameservers, dns zones, email forwarding or simply to renew the domain.

Also, the password of a hosting account is never modified by us (the host) unless it is for resetting reasons. Please note that we require the passwords of dedicated servers and VPS so that we can monitor them for downtime and so on. But a shared account is not monitored individually but monitored through the server.
